We have over 100 years of experience across our parking team and have delivered projects that a national audience such as the Department of Health’s Best Practice Parking Guidance, which is designed for NHS Trusts across the country.

We create our strategies at a local or district-wide level, understanding the framework needed. We promote integration with active and sustainable travel, to meet our client’s net zero ambitions. We have expertise in EV infrastructure, and the creation of strategies focused on delivering the appropriate level of chargepoints before demand regularly exceeds supply, including car park and on-street infrastructure. We have a strong track record of supporting our clients secure funding to deliver infrastructure and secure resources.
Our studies and option appraisals involve a comprehensive assessment along with recommendations for service improvements. Examples include parking charges, spatial parking zones, and improving capacity and performance. Surveys are undertaken to create baseline data and understand behaviours as well as forecasting growth in demand.
We’re commissioned to undertake a variety of parking surveys including occupancy and duration of stay counts in car parks, and parking beat surveys on-street to understand the availability of parking. Our multidisciplinary design team frequently work in collaboration with our parking team on the design of new car parks, and the modification of existing car parks to utilise space whilst enriching the public realm. Frequently working with our clients to develop parking signage strategies to provide a coherent and consistent approach to directing traffic to car parks. Our approach identifies the messaging on both the strategic and local road network, reducing the likelihood of congestion occurring on the road network due to excessive demand. Our studies audit the existing provision to identify improvements on the network.
Our parking team have the capacity to create traffic orders and maps as part of parking schemes. This can include writing schedules, drafting orders, and undertaking the statutory process. We support clients with the digitalisation of their traffic orders, moving towards map-based solutions.
